Terms and conditions

When you contact us by telephone for an initial discussion about your clock, you can decide if you would like to have a full estimate carried out. We can offer a ball-park figure for the type of clock on the phone or after seeing a picture, but for accuracy we would collect it for closer examination in our workshops. If you would like an estimate for a case repair, then we would collect that also.

Quite a lot of work is involved in dismantling a clock movement to check the components for hidden problems and confirm an estimate, so if a customer then decides not to go ahead with the servicing and any repairs until another time, we would reassemble the movement and invoice just for the dismantling and reassembly only.

When we have completed the work on your clock, we will test it for a while to ensure it is performing correctly and to carry out any adjustments that may be necessary. When we contact you to say the clock is ready for delivery, the one year guarantee will begin (of course, we expect it to behave itself for many happy years thereafter!). At this point payment of the outstanding balance is required, either prior to, or on delivery.
